The Mongolka model with a leather top is another version of the classic Russian hat. The name Mongolka translates to Mongolian hat. This model is so named because the base of the hat was a Mongolian skullcap trimmed with fur. We use genuine quality leather for the top of the hat. This model has hidden ear flaps made of warm fabric that help fit it snugly onto the head. The ear flaps are hidden by the fur. Mongolka are also royal hats, but unlike the Boyaryshnia such caps in Russia are gifts given TO tsars and kings. The most famous of such a hat in Russia is a cap called Monomakh. A special tape adjusting band inside the hat enables you to decrease the size by 2-3 cm. Color – as shown in the photo. Natural fur has slight variations in shades and patterns.
