Beaver Fur Hats

The Fur That Works as Hard as Winter

A beaver fur hat isn’t made to draw stares. It’s made to keep a head warm when breath freezes midair and wood cracks in the fire. This is fur with a job to do — and it does it well. Water-resistant. Windproof. Quiet. Durable like no other.

All of our beaver fur comes from the wild — not farmed, not bred, but taken by licensed trappers in forests where rivers still speak and the ice decides. These pelts carry more than warmth; they carry the memory of winter as it was meant to be felt.

There are two kinds we work with. Full beaver — thick, rugged, glossy, strong enough to face sleet or snow without apology. And sheared beaver — trimmed close for a soft, velvety feel, used as a lining where luxury matters but bulk does not. You’ll find both in our hats, sometimes within the same piece.

Some hats follow the old shapes — trapper-style with lowered flaps and leather straps. Others walk a cleaner line, meant for city frost and stillness. But all share the same bloodline: made for use, not display. Sewn by hand. Built to endure.

Hardwear for Cold Men

Beaver fur has long been the standard by which other winter furs are measured. But for those seeking something rarer still — fur denser, darker, more resistant — we also carry hats made of otter. The kind of fur that once defined northern royalty and frontier elite.
