This women’s bomber-style ushanka is made from natural Russian raccoon fur — also known as tanuki. This wild-textured fur features light and dark banding along the guard hairs, creating a naturally striped effect with soft sandy tones, grey shading, and black-tipped contrast. No dyeing or bleaching is applied.
The upper crown is crafted from six leather panels, shaped into a softly rounded aviator-style profile. Inside, the hat is lined with quilted black satin (viscose) for breathable insulation during cold weather.
Two matching raccoon fur pom-poms are attached to elastic loops at the earflaps. These loops can be intertwined under the chin, behind the neck, or over the crown, forming a scarf-like windproof closure without buttons or hardware.
